The paintings of artist and activist Sara Steele explore her concerns for our fragile and beautiful natural world. Through her art she illuminates why we might share her concerns. For over twenty-five years she has given us glimpses of a numinous world that can bring us peace, delight and inspiration as we move through our every-day lives.
Through her activism she works to have a more humane and sustainable existence on this planet move from the realm of possible to actual. Steele works with numerous non-profit organizations locally, nationally and globally around issues of peace, social and environmental justice, human rights, violence prevention, health and women’s issues.
