Recently profiled on NPR, Viktor Schreckengost dramatically changed the quality of design in the products Americans buy. Fine artist, sculptor, ceramicist, and celebrated industrial designer, he founded the first modern industrial design program in the United States. Art historian Henry Adams tells the story.
